IOSH Working Safely


The IOSH Working Safely course is for people at any level, in any sector, requiring an introduction to the essentials of health and safety.

The IOSH Working Safely course is recognised by CSCS as an equivalent to a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.

This means that delegates who successfully complete the IOSH Working Safely course can apply for a CSCS Green Labourer card once they have also passed the CITB health; Safety and Environment Operatives Test. 





Course Duration:

The course is of 1 day duration.


Optimum Number:

A maximum of 20 delegates per course.


Course Language:

The course is delivered in English. Therefore candidates must have a reasonable standard of both written and verbal English.

Courses can be delivered in other languages however, this would need to be discussed prior to acceptance on the course. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make Roxby aware of this requirement.


Training Aids:

A Roxby Presentation using course hand-outs, followed by theory assessment.

Identifying common hazards

Improving safety performance

Protecting our environment

Course feedback and review


Assessment and Certification:

Delegates are evaluated using a multi-format question paper, and a multiple choice hazard-spotting exercise.

Once candidates are successful, they can choose to receive the IOSH Working Safely Certificate and/or the IOSH Passport as proof of qualification.
